We smash local arch rivals QPR at home!

Ok, we didn’t actually smash them as we only won 2-1 but as it’s QPR then any victory is something to savour. This was revenge for them scoring 2 goals in injury time to draw 2-2 with us at their place earlier in the season. We started brightly and we took the lead through Canos in the 16th minute. With about 5 minutes of the first half remaining we were awarded a penalty and Watkins' effort was saved by their keeper. At the beginning of the season I felt Watkins was an exciting talent and had scored loads of goals for Exeter but as the season has gone on he has not impressed me as much. I think this is the second penalty he has missed and he has an odd way of taking them. He puts the ball on the spot, walks away from the ball then immediately turns around and runs up and hits it. He doesn’t stop and think about his options before he runs up to the ball. At the end of the first half they equalise but Jozefzoon gets our winner in the 69th minute. With 3 games to go we could theoretically still get into the play-offs.
