We miss out on the play-offs - yippee!
Our undefeated run of seven games comes to an end as we go down 2-0 away to relegation strugglers Barnsley in the penultimate game of the season. They were the deserved winners, scoring a goal in each half. Although there was only a theoretical chance of us getting into the play-offs, I'm delighted we didn't. There is no way we are a Premier League team and we need to become a consistent Championship side. If we had picked up points at the beginning of the season when we were playing some good football, then we would have easily made the play-offs. I'm not sure that the management policy at the club i.e. selling our best players if we get a good offer for them would work well in the Premier League should we ever get there. I hope that next season Ollie Watkins finds his scoring boots otherwise we may struggle getting goals. The last game of the season is at home against Hull City and lets hope we end the season on a high.
