We draw 1-1 away to Stoke City
I was going to write something this morning before the Stoke game and now pleased I didn’t. I saw the Stoke team and thought that we would be well beaten today, especially as Ryan Woods was again left out of the squad, and that would be a turning point in the season albeit only our second game of the season. However, we outplayed them for almost the first half an hour but then a defensive mistake handed them the lead. Fortunately, an Ollie Watkins strike in the 66th minute levelled it and we came away with a well-deserved point.
