We finish 11th in the Championship after beating Preston 3-0 at Griffin Park

A topsy-turvy season comes to an end when we beat Preston North End 3-0 at home. Konsa scores our first goal in time added on at the end of the first half. Then second half goals by Maupay and Forss (with his first Championship goal) sees us run out easy winners.

Before the season started I was concerned that we might be in a relegation dog fight come March/April because we again let our good players go in the July transfer window. Somehow we started really well but then we let Deano go to The Villa. That was the start of a long winless but Thomas Frank finally turns things around. I’m still not convinced he is the one to take us further. Our away form has been consistently rubbish but we have done well at home hence finishing 11th. Once we let our better players go in the summer I’m not convinced we have enough strength in depth for next season and again I fear we could struggle.
