Disappointment at Craven Cottage - beaten by a late goal
I have to be honest that before the game I thought we might be lucky to even get a point. I saw how Fulham had played at home against Liverpool in their first game of the season, so I knew we were in for the a fight. It didn’t help that we went 1-0 down in the first minute after a bit of sloppy defending when we couldn't clear the ball. Then things went from bad to worse as they scored a second with a header from a corner in the 20th minute. We got one back, a Norgaard volley from a corner in the 44th minute and it was 2-1 to them at half time. We played much better in the second half and Toney had two goals ruled out for offside before we eventually scored our equaliser in the 71st minute. It was heading for a 2-2 draw with Raya making some great saves until they scored the winner in the 90th minute to make 3-2.
