Premier League here we come!
After our defeat to Fulham in last season’s Championship Play-off final we go one better and beat Swansea City 2-0 at Wembley with both goals coming in the first 20 minutes. The first was (yes, you’ve guessed it) a Toney penalty after 10 mins when Mbeumo was tripped by their keeper. The second was in the 20th minute with a very good precision strike from Marcondes. Toney then hit the underside of the bar and the ball bounced down on to the goal line. It helped that they had a player sent off in the 65th minute for tackle on Jensen. I can’t believe we did it. We have not played top flight football since the 1946-7 season. I only hope that next season we get more points than our Eurovision entry did last Saturday.
