So very nearly a glorious draw with the Champions of Europe

OK, so Chelsea had a few players missing due to injury (but so did we) and many of their players were away last week on International Duty so they had little time to prepare for the game, but we still should have got at least a draw. I know they completely outplayed us for the first hour but from then until the end of the game we were all over them. The first half was mainly them passing well and us not really getting a look in or out of our own half, although Mbeumo did hit the post. We were heading to stalemate at the break until they scored with a great strike in the 45th minute that gave Raya no chance. I expected us to then lose 3-0 and the second half started the same as the first. Then we bring on two subs and the game changes. We were continually attacking and making loads of scoring chances (in the second half we had 15 attempts on goal with 7 on target and they had 1 attempt with none on target). Mbeumo hit the post again, Norgaard had a (rather lame) shot cleared off the line and a great overhead kick tipped onto the bar and over. Their keeper made a number of other great saves including a point blank one from Janssen. I still don't know how we didn't score but the game ended 1-0 to them.
