We breeze past Southampton 3-0 at home
Updated: Feb 6
Another potential banana skin successfully negotiated, playing against bottom of the league Southampton who had played in a Carabao Cup semi-final and the 4th Round of the FA Cup since we last played a game. A very good first half sees Wissa hit the bar, Toney have a shot blocked, Mbeumo shoot wide then a great cross sees Mee head home in the 41st minute. Then 3 minutes later we go 2-0 up after a great pass by Dasilva finds Wissa who crosses for Mbeumo to shoot home. In the second half Southampton did have a number of good chances to score but Toney did have a a shot cleared off the line. We wrapped it up with our third goal in the 80th minute when Jensen headed home a Henry cross. WE ARE NOW 7TH IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!
