We only lose one-nil at home to Manchester City!
I was hoping we wouldn’t lose by more than five, so just losing by one goal was a bonus even though we still end up with no points. We now have a goalie, right back, centre back., left back, three midfielders and a forward all out injured so it was not unexpected that Man City had nearly all the possession but for a 5-10 minute spell in the first half we had a number of chances with a weak shot from Onyeka, a great save by their keeper to prevent an og and Toney missed a header by a whisker to then see it headed off the line by one of their defenders. But 53 seconds later they score in the 16th minute with a great ball by De Bruyne beautifully flicked in by Foden. From the replay I thought he was just offside but VAR gave the goal. In the second half we had the occasional attack but really never looked like scoring and in the 87th minute they appeared to score a second goal with a great header but this was ruled marginally offside by VAR.
One Sunday we are at home to Aston Villa. We really need three points but with so many injuries we will be lucky just to get a point.
