Back to the PL, after the international and FA Cup break, away to Newcastle buoyed by their recent Carabao Cup success against Liverpool. Newcastle had most of the chances in the first half with Barnes having a goal ruled out for offside. They did take the lead in added on time at the end of the first half through Isak (but only because Mbeumo had slipped otherwise he would have cleared it). Mbeumo equalised from the penalty spot in the 66th minute after Pope had brought down Wissa. Then a cross from Schade was headed back across goal by Pinnock, but the ball came crashing back off the post and into the arms of a relieved Pope. Newcastle got their winner, a freak goal from Tonali who meant it to be a cross and it flew in past a helpless Flekken. We tried hard to get the equaliser and had a shout for a pen that wasn't given. Damsgaard, Schade and Norgaard came close in the final stages but to no avail. Next up is Chelsea at home on Sunday.
