I assumed we would lose this game so I had booked a restaurant instead of watching it on TV. Forest must have been 'hung over' following their FA Cup defeat to Man City. We had an excellent early chance, a header by van den Berg from a free kick, but their keeper made a great save. We took the lead just before half time when a long ball from Collins was missed by a couple of Forest defenders for Schade to nip in and score. I then thought I saw the faintest of smiles on his face, but I was probably mistaken. It was great to see Rico Henry back when he came on early in the second half for Lewis-Potter who was great risk of a getting a second yellow card. Then Flekken made a great save to push a shot from Elanga around the post for corner. Then Wood should have scored with a header. We doubled our lead in the 70th minute when another long ball (a Flekken goal kick!) was again miseed by the Forest defenders for Wissa to race in and dink it beautifully over their keeper. Right at the end Mbeumo had a left-footed curler that went just over the bar. A great 0-2 away victory. Injury update: both Hickey and Thiago are almost back to full fitness and should be in the squad before the end of the season and hopefully I will see both of them on the pitch when I go to the last game of the season on the 25th at Wolves.
