Although Ipswich are already relegated, at times this season they have played some very good football and there were definitely games they they might have felt unlucky not to have got one or even three points from. So, the best I thought we might get would be a draw at their place. Yet, we came away with all three points after a 0-1 victory. Ipswich had the first effort of the game with a header that was saved by Flekken, who got down well to keep it out. We took the lead after 18 minutes with our first real chance of the game. At the third attempt to take a corner saw Mbeumo whipping it in and it was headed home at the near post by Schade. Then we nearly doubled our lead soon after, when Wissa played in Mbeumo but he decided to take it on his weaker right foot rather than cut in on his left, and their keeper saved his tame cross-cum-shot. Ipswich then had two long-range strikes on goal, but neither troubled Flekken. In added time of the first half, Mbeumo received the ball from Kayode, but his shot was deflected into the air. However, it fell to Schade inside the area, who fantastically cushioned it down for Damsgaard, but his effort towards the far post bobbled just wide. At the beginning of the second half we took the game to Ipswich, as a Wissa shot from outside the area was blocked. Ipswich nearly grabbed an equaliser on 54 minutes, when a teasing ball into the area evaded everyone in the centre of the box, before going out for a goal kick. Then we nearly got a second. Kayode powered into Ipswich's final third before the ball found its way to Lewis-Potter. He jinked into the penalty area but was tackled, before Kayode and then Schade both had efforts on goal, with the latter's being saved and held by their keeper. In the last 10 minutes Ipswich had several chances, a miskick from van den Berg saw a shot just wide of the post, then they hit the post, and a corner deflected off Collins and whistled an inch wide of our goal. Finally, Flekken superbly saved a point-blank shot from inside the six-yard box and with less than a minute to go Flekken caught a header, thus securing three points for the Bees.

We are now up to 8th in the PL with two matches to play, at home to Fulham then away to Wolves (why hasn't my ticket arrived yet?). Two wins might see us get into Europe!
