How did we get a point at home to Palace?

Although this was the penultimate match of the PL season, all the Brentford players were already on their hols. An abysmal perfomance (relegation form) at the Gtech against Crystal Palace until the last 15 minutes (this included the 13 minutes of added-on time). We were 0-1 down after 6 mins with a very soft pen given away by Kelleher. Then they hit the woodwork twice and had other chances to score. We got a very lucky equaliser in the 40th minute. A cross from the right was headed by a Palace defender straight on to the head of Ouattara and the ball flew in the net. In the second half our defending and lack of midfield was again woeful. In the 52nd minuute we failed to clear the ball and a Wharton shot flew under the body of Kelleher who really should have saved it. Somehow we equalised in the 88th minute when a Kayode long throw was headed on by van den Berg and Ouattara scored with another header (this time intentionally). From then on until the final whistle, we were the team most likely to get the winner (although we would not have deserved it), with Schade blazing wide, Thiago smashing it over the bar and van den Berg heading over from a corner at the very end.
