After 5 draws then a defeat, we get a win and keep a clean sheet. KA named the same starting XI for the fourth consecutive match. A Mavropanos own goal puts the Bees in front in the 15th minute as Kayode was about to score himself. Yet, 6 minutes later Mavropanos appears to make amends with the equaliser, but fortunately this was ruled out by VAR for offside. The Hammers, who are battling relegation, could not only have equalised but gone ahead as they hit the post twice. We also had some chances ourselves, with their keepoer nowhere to be seen outside the penalty area Damsgaard shot narrowly wide. Fortunately, we go into half time 1-0 up. In the second half we dominated much of the play and in the 52nd minute we get a penalty after Ouattara is brought down by Diouf. Thiago calmly slots it away to make it 2-0. They also hit the bar. It was 3-0 to Brentford in the 82nd minute. A good passage of play saw Lewis-Potter and Jensen combine on opposite sides of the pitch, before the former passed to Damsgaard, who spun away from a West Ham defender and passed the ball delectably into the bottom corner. As the game ticked into added time, Furo was brought on for his Premier League debut, while Dasilva came on for his first appearance in 822 days, receiving a deafening applause from the Gtech.
