We get a point at Elland Road, but it should have been three.

With the signings we have made, including Diouf this week, we now have strength in depth so it was good to see KA get us attacking right from the start away to Leeds United. We had a fantastic first half, great passing and ball control, winning nearly all the 50-50s (we could have played any team off the park), so it was disappointing to go into half-time only a goal up through a brilliant outside of the foot goal by Schade in the 41st minute.

We started strongly in the second half but from about the 70th minute Leeds started to get into the game and pressed for an equaliser that they got in the 79th minute. Had Collins been of two other religious persuasions then Calvert-Lewin would have been offside.

The main talking point of the second half was the denial (by the ref and VAR) of an obvious penalty on Schade. If it had happened to Leeds then I would also have said it was a pen. I bet if the ref had given it then VAR would not have overturned it. It will be interesting to hear the explanation as to why it was not given. Anyway, a 1-1 away draw at Leeds is a good result but we should have won.
