We get smashed away to Forest in the first game of the new PL season (but we win the second half)

For the last few days I was expecting us to lose 2-0, but was slightly more confident when Kelleher was passed fit. Unfortunately, Schade was only fit enough to be on the bench and then just before kick-off I found that Damsgaard was not playing as he was celebrating the birth of his first child. I then became very concerned that this could be a total annihilation and when the game started I was proved right. Forest were all over us and we could not compete with their pressing, they won every 50:50 ball and us continually giving the ball away and unable to get out of our own half. It was lucky that at half time we were only 3-0 down. All three goals were down to errors. From a corner the ball bobbled and was smashed into the goal. We probably couldn't have prevented that, but it came from a corner that we shouldn't have conceded. Collins kicked it out for the corner just as Kelleher (who seemed all match to want to punch the ball instead of catching it) was about to grab the ball. For their second goal Henry was on the wrong side of their forward who headed home. Their third came from a dreadful pass from van den Berg near the halfway line that allowed Forest to play a great through ball and get an easy goal. In the second half we were a bit better and came close a couple of times. This was mainly due to the introduction of Henderson and Schade. We got a penalty in the 78th minute that Thiago slotted home - just. I hope his pens in the future will be better than that. We won the second half but lost 3-1. The only way to make this up is to beat Villa at home next Saturday.
