I can't remember the last time I saw us win away at Molineux. Fortunately, the weather was much better than that freezing cold evening last month when I watched us lose in extra-time in the FA Cup Replay. Both sides were unchanged from their last match (our home defeat to Man City and their away victory against Chelsea). We started really brightly and had quite a few chances in the first half hour, mainly Maupay and then Collins, plus we had a penalty shout for handball not given by VAR. Their keeper made one good save to deny Maupay. We took the lead in the 35th minute; a corner by Reguilon was headed home at close range by Norgaard to put us 0-1 up. Then soon after they had a great chance to equalise but Flekken pulled off a world class save down by the post. In the second half it was nearly all Wolves but they had no cutting edge. Early on they hit the post, had a headed 'goal' narrowly disallowed for offside (had Dawson been of a different religious persuasion then it might have stood, it was that close) and Flekken made several very good saves to deny them. We gave the ball away a lot and rarely won a 50:50 challenge. Then the introduction of Lewis-Potter as sub gave us a boost of energy and in the 77th minute Janelt won the ball back in their half, and after playing a one-two with Yarmoliuk, he crossed into the area and it was put away by Toney for our second goal. Apart from the goal, Toney didn't have a great game, won a few headers and a few nice lay offs in the second half but was being muscled off the ball, and now I have found out why as he has been ill for the past few days. The game finished 0-2. With other results going our way we move slightly further away from the relegation zone.
