Europe hopes gone as we lose at home to arch local rivals Fulham

Actually, I'm quite relieved as I didn't want us to get into Europe, but I also didn't want to lose to Fulham. I would have settled for a draw. They took the lead in the 16th minute with a header but Mbeumo equalised with a right-footed shot in the 22nd minute. Then a few minutes later something really strange happened. Schade was fouled in the area and a penalty was given. Up steps Mbeuno and ... it was saved! Yes, Mbeumo missed a pen. Wissa puts us in front making sure from a Norgaard header in the 43rd minute and the half ends 2-1. Things were looking promising for Europe until Fulham scored twice in a couple of minutes in the second half (68th and 70th minutes) and the game ends 2-3 with Fulham getting the three points. Just the 8 yellow cards for a local derby and Thiago had another run out for the last 20 minutes or so. Let's hope we put up a good show next Sunday away to Wolves as I will be there watching them.
