This was one game that I actually expected us to win. Man U with a great Europa League result in midweek but resting many players, and us on a high after beating Forest. Spoiler alert, we were 4-1 up in the second half but they pulled it back to 4-3 but we held on to get the 3 points. Mount gave United the lead in the 14th minute, finishing off a cross from Garnacho. Bees equalised when captain Damsgaard saw his cross deflect in off defender Shaw in the 27th minute. We took the lead six minutes later in controversial fashion, when Schade towered over Fredricson to power in his 10th goal of the season with a superb header. However, United were whinging when play wasn't stopped after de Ligt went down with an injury earlier in the move, but VAR would have none of it. Schade appeared to have wrapped up the three points 20 minutes from time, heading in his second of the day from close range from a Mbeumo cross. But the Bees were not done there, and four minutes later they cut through United's defence to allow Kayode to slip in Wissa for a fourth of the afternoon. Then Garnacho scored a stunning long-range effort eight minutes from time and there was a nervy finish when second half substitute Diallo scored (the ball going between Flekken's legs) five minutes into seven added minutes of injury time to make it 4-3, but we saw out the win. Great news as Thiago came on as a sub after 81 mins.
