A severe injury to Rico Henry last week at Newcastle, Schade injured in the warm up, Mee out injured - I’m trying to come up with some excuses for the defeat but I can’t. We were awful. A dreadful defence, poor passing, being caught in possession, no real attacking intent sums it all up. We let in an early goal after 6 minutes but somehow got the equaliser from Jensen in the 28th minute, then for about 10 minutes we did start to play well with Lewis-Potter nearly getting our second. But before the break Everton should have scored twice. We were no better in the second half and Everton grabbed a couple more goals.
