Dumped out of the Carabao Cup; now we can concentrate on the league.

Although we beat Newcastle at home in the league less than two weeks ago, Thomas Frank said he would field his strongest team but he didn't, as Norgaard and Thiago were not even in the squad. We were well beaten by them 3-1 at St. James' Park in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup. It didn't help that both our central defenders were injured, van den Berg in the warm up and Pinnock after 15 minutes (and both won't be fit to play against Chris Wood and Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and Thiago is also out). They went 1-0 up after 9 minutes and got their second two minutes before the break. In the second half they had more chances to extend their lead before they got their third in the 69th minute. We did have a few chances and Wissa got our consolation goal in the 90+1 minute. I think it may take a miracle to win on Saturday.
