Now we are guaranteed a fourth season in the PL, I was hoping that we could end the seaon with some good results. I wasn't expecting us to win away to Bournemouth and would have settled for a point, so a 1-2 victory was a bonus. We won wearing blue shirts and that might be a first for us. Both sides had some half chances in the first half but they had a goal disallowed by VAR for an obvious handball early in the move and then another one later as the ref had blown for a foul just before the ball went in the net. Then before the interval Flekken made a couple of good saves. After about an hour we were awarded a penalty for a foul on Toney but that was overturned by VAR (probably correctly). Then in the 86th minute we took the lead following a great clearance by Flekken to Wissa on the right, who hit a first time volleyed pass to Mbeumo who scored. Unfortunately, the lead didn't last long as three minutes later they equalised with a looping header. There was a load of added on time and in the 90+5 minute we got our winner, and this time Mbeumo returned the favour to pass to Wissa to score. Big hugs for the manager who sadly lost his father on the Friday.
