Free scoring Arsenal at home to an injury ridden Bees team could have been a massacre, but we only lose 2-1. A makeshift defence, with Lewis-Poter playing left back for probably the first time in his career, held out until the 19th minute when they scored. Then Norgaard was taken off injured, but in time added on in the first half (when we usually concede a goal) Wissa equalised from a Ramsdale blunder. Unfortunately, Ramsdale redeemed himself in the second half with good saves from a spectacular 45-yard effort from Toney (that would have been a candidate for goal of the season) and a header from Collins. We defended well but it was only a matter of time before Arsenal scored again after wave after wave of attacks. They got their second (and the eventual winner) in the 86th minute. Should Havertz got a second yellow card for diving and then been sent off - probably, but I don't think it would have made any difference to the result. It didn't help that earlier Luton got a very late equaliser against Crystal Palace.
We nearly hang on for a draw, but it was men vs boys
